Government Awarded Judgment On Challenges To Tribe’s Casino In California

(September 8, 2016, 12:00 PM EDT) -- WASHINGTON, D.C. — A federal judge in the District of Columbia on Sept. 6 dismissed all challenges to the federal government’s approval of an Indian tribe’s casino-resort project in California after finding that the government properly approved the tribe’s plans under several federal laws (Stand Up For California!, et al. v. U.S. Department of the Interior, et al. v. North Fork Rancheria of Mono Indians, Nos. 12-2039, 12-2071, D. D.C.; 2016 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 119649).
