State Appeals Court: Water Company Owns Water Rights, Is Entitled To Seek Payment

(September 7, 2016, 9:10 AM EDT) -- DENVER — A private company is the legal holder of water rights and is not being unjustly enriched by seeking payment for water it supplies to a development, a Colorado Court of Appeals panel ruled Aug. 11 (Indian Mountain Corporation v. Indian Mountain Metropolitan District, No. 15CA1055, Colo. App., Div. 1; 2016 Colo. App. LEXIS 1170).
