3 Environmental Groups Put Authority On Notice Of Endangered Species Action

Mealey's (August 24, 2016, 1:46 PM EDT) -- SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. — Three environmental groups on Aug. 22 gave the Colton/San Bernardino Regional Tertiary Treatment and Water Reclamation Authority two months’ notice that they intend to file a lawsuit under the Endangered Species Act for withholding water releases that have killed the endangered Santa Ana sucker.

The act requires aggrieved parties to file a notice of alleged violations of the act so the other party can have two months to remedy the alleged violations. After two months, a lawsuit can be filed.
