Judge: Fracking Case Against U.S. Government ‘Irrational’
(August 24, 2016, 1:15 PM EDT) -- SAN JOSE, Calif. — A federal judge in California on Aug. 16 dismissed a lawsuit against the U.S. government, ruling that the plaintiff failed to identify his exact claims and made allegations that he could predict fracking earthquakes that would occur based on “fishy” statistics provided by the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) (Gus Who v. U.S. Government, No. 16-02993, N.D. Calif.; 2016 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 109428).
