Consumers, States To Get $125M For Provigil Pay-To-Delay Scheme

(August 17, 2016, 10:35 AM EDT) -- PHILADELPHIA — Forty-eight states on Aug. 4 asked a Pennsylvania federal court to approve a $125 million settlement with Cephalon Inc. and related companies for delaying the introduction of generic Provigil (State of New York, et al. v. Cephalon, Inc., et al., No. 16-4234, E.D. Pa.).

The settlement will make $35 million available for consumers who bought Provigil between June 24, 2006, and March 31, 2012. The remaining $90 million will be divided among the states.
