Suit Over Attack In Kansas Burger King Dismissed For Failure To State A Claim

Mealey's (August 16, 2016, 9:10 AM EDT) -- KANSAS CITY, Kan. — A Kansas federal judge on Aug. 12 dismissed a civil rights lawsuit against three Burger King executives claiming that the employees at a Burger King franchise restaurant failed to help a black man who was attacked in the bathroom because the plaintiff failed to show how the executives would have any personal responsibility for the alleged incident (Johnny Chambers v. Burger King, et al., No. 16-2093, D. Kan.; 2016 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 107232).
