Law Firm Sues Former Employee For Trade Secret Law Violations In Poaching Scheme

(September 14, 2020, 1:45 PM EDT) -- SAN DIEGO — A law firm sued one of its former attorneys, a client and three of the client's senior executives in California federal court on Sept. 10, alleging that the client and its executives engaged in a scheme to poach the former employee, hire him as its in-house counsel and misappropriate the company's confidential and proprietary information and/or trade secrets in violation of an employment agreement the attorney signed with the law firm and in violation of state and federal trade secret laws (Whiteslate LLP v.
