Briefly: Roman Catholic Women Sue Pipeline Company Again, This Time For Damages

(November 16, 2020, 2:13 PM EST) -- PHILADELPHIA — An order of Roman Catholic women on Nov. 11 sued a pipeline company in Pennsylvania federal court, seeking punitive damages against it for the construction of the Atlantic Sunrise Pipeline across property owned by the order, which the order says was done in “reckless disregard” for the its religious beliefs.  The order, which had a previous lawsuit dismissed, insists that the pipeline continues to cause trauma to its faith commitment (Adorers of the Blood of Christ, United States Province, et al. v.
