Mealey's (October 7, 2020, 2:02 PM EDT) -- GREAT FALLS, Mont. — The U.S. Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and the governor of Montana on Oct. 5 filed competing briefs in Montana federal court dealing with the ongoing dispute between the parties over whether the BLM's acting director has "unlawfully" directed the BLM via a series of "temporary" orders that he lacks the legal authority to issue and that harm the state (Steve Bullock, et al. v.
