(July 19, 2016, 1:43 PM EDT) -- CINCINNATI — The judge overseeing the federal asbestos multidistrict litigation ignored the “featherweight” standard for proximate causation in granting summary judgment on a former merchant marine’s Jones Act case, plaintiffs told the Sixth Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals on June 21 (James G. Burney, et al. v. A-C Product Liability Trust, et al., No. 16-3392, 6th Cir.).
