School Tells 8th Circuit ACA Mandate, Opt-Out Violate Religious Practices

Mealey's (June 24, 2015, 1:02 PM EDT) -- KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA) contraceptive mandate and accommodation forces conduct in conflict with a school’s religious teachings and standards, the school told the Eighth Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals on May 8 (The School of the Ozarks Inc., d/b/a College of the Ozarks v. United States Department of Health and Human Services, et al., No. 15-1330, 8th Cir.).
