Patent Owner Asks Court To Clarify Patent Infringement Review Standard In Arbitration
(July 15, 2016, 9:46 AM EDT) -- WASHINGTON, D.C. — A patent owner on July 8 petitioned the U.S. Supreme Court to clarify the standard for review of patent infringement in arbitration and vacate an award because arbitrators are bound by the language of patent claims, by the law of claim construction and by the Federal Arbitration Act (Joseph Neev v. Alcon Lensx, Inc., No. 16-48, U.S. Sup.).
