United States: Central Figure In Meningitis Outbreak Is More Of A Flight Risk
(July 13, 2016, 12:14 PM EDT) -- BOSTON — The United States on June 30 appealed a magistrate judge’s order allowing the central figure in a meningitis outbreak to have a curfew instead of home incarceration, saying that with his trial six months away and his facing a possible life sentence for murder, “he has the means to flee” and is a greater flight risk (United States of America v. Barry J. Cadden, et al., No. 14-cr-10363, D. Mass.).
