NLRB: No Jurisdiction Over Indian Tribe In Union Dispute

Mealey's (June 24, 2015, 10:40 AM EDT) -- WASHINGTON, D.C. — The National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) on June 4 ruled that because of the 1830 Treaty of Dancing Rabbit Creek, it lacks jurisdiction over the Chickasaw Nation in a labor dispute (Chickasaw Nation d/b/a Winstar Word Casino and International Brotherhood of Teamsters Local 886, affiliated with the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, Cases 17-CA-025031 and 17-CA-025121, NLRB).
