Panel: Fracking Protester’s Claim She Didn’t Authorize Settlement Deal Fails
(July 11, 2016, 10:43 AM EDT) -- HARRISBURG, Pa. — A panel of the Pennsylvania Superior Court on July 7 ruled that a woman protesting hydraulic fracturing activity had given her counsel authorization to enter into a settlement agreement with a fracking company; therefore, her appeal of the deal that was brokered does not “merit relief” (Cabot Oil & Gas Corporation v. Vera Scroggins, No. 867MDA2015, Pa. Super.).
