U.S. High Court Denies Rehearing In Union Fees Dispute

(June 28, 2016, 10:42 AM EDT) -- WASHINGTON, D.C. — The U.S. Supreme Court on June 28 denied rehearing in in an appeal brought by teachers who objected to agency-fee requirements for non-union workers employed by public entities and sought to overturn the Supreme Court’s decision in Abood v. Detroit Bd. of Ed. (431 U.S. 209 [1977]) (Rebecca Friedrichs, et al. v. California Teachers Association, et al., No. 14-915, U.S. Sup.).
