Teva Suspends Zecuity Migraine Electrical Patch Due To Burn, Scar Reports

(June 17, 2016, 9:41 AM EDT) -- JERUSALEM — Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. on June 13 said it is voluntarily suspending sales, marketing and distribution of its Zecuity battery-operated migraine pain patch due to reports of reactions described as burns and scars in patients using the combination product.

Teva said it initiated a pharmacy-level recall of Zecuity and is working with the Food and Drug Administration “to better understand these adverse events.” The company said patients who were prescribed Zecuity should discontinue its use and discuss alternative treatment options with their physician....
