Canadian Court Says Fracking Companies May Take Water From Streams, Lakes

Mealey's (June 18, 2015, 4:06 PM EDT) -- VANCOUVER, British Columbia — The British Columbia Supreme Court on Oct. 10, 2014, ruled that hydraulic fracturing companies may take water from lakes, streams and rivers to be used in fracking operations (Western Canada Wilderness Committee, et al. v. British Columbia [Oil and Gas Commission], et al., No. 2104BCSC1919, British Columbia Sup.).
