California Magistrate Judge Agrees To Transfer Southwest Background Check Suit
(June 16, 2016, 9:18 AM EDT) -- SAN FRANCISCO — A California federal magistrate judge on June 2 granted a motion to transfer a class complaint accusing Southwest Airlines Co. of improperly acquiring background checks of applicants to a Texas federal court, finding that it is “the most convenient and appropriate venue” (Justin Lewis v. Southwest Airlines Co., No. 16-749, N.D. Calif.; 2016 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 72222).
