Advocacy Group Seeks Rehearing In ACA Individual Mandate Challenge
Mealey's (June 6, 2016, 3:00 PM EDT) -- WASHINGTON, D.C. — The government’s own conduct and not insurers’ conduct distorted risk pools, raised premiums and imposed penalties for noncompliance with Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA) guidelines, an advocacy group told the District of Columbia Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals in a June 3 petition for rehearing (American Freedom Law Center, et al. v. Barack Obama, et al., No. 15-5164, D.C. Cir.).
