Louisiana Jury Awards $7 Million In Take-Home Asbestos Case

(May 27, 2016, 2:03 PM EDT) -- NATCHITOCHES, La. — A Louisiana jury on April 29 awarded a widower $7 million after his wife died from mesothelioma caused by take-home asbestos exposures, sources told Mealey Publications (Myra Williams v. Ingersoll-Rand, No. 76,787, La. Dist., 10th Dist., Natchitoches Par.).

Jimmy Williams filed suit in Louisiana’s 10th Judicial District Court in Natchitoches Parish against numerous companies whose conduct allegedly exposed his wife, Myra Williams, to asbestos, sources said.
