Agency: Fracking Group Has Not Exhausted Administrative Remedies In Permit Fight

(May 19, 2016, 1:58 PM EDT) -- OKLAHOMA CITY — The U.S. Department of the Interior (DOI) on May 16 filed a supplemental brief in Oklahoma federal court, arguing that the industry association representing a hydraulic fracturing company has not exhausted its administrative remedies with regard to its claim that the DOI has “unreasonably delayed issuing drilling permits”; therefore, the lawsuit should be dismissed (Osage Producers Association v. Sally Jewell, No. 15-469, N.D. Okla.).
