Split Appeals Panel: Order Pooling Fracking Wells Was Vacated Appropriately

(May 19, 2016, 12:55 PM EDT) -- COLUMBUS, Ohio — A divided Ohio appeals court on May 17 affirmed a trial court’s ruling and found that the Ohio Oil and Gas Commission’s (OOGC) decision to vacate an order that pooled hydraulic fracturing wells was valid because the pooling order failed to account for the safety concerns of residents in the city where the fracking well would be operated (Richard J.
