Judge Dismisses UCL Claims Against Apple Over Wi-Fi Assist Charges
Mealey's (May 16, 2016, 11:53 AM EDT) -- SAN JOSE, Calif. — Plaintiffs who claim overage charges as a result of Apple’s Wi-Fi Assist have not sufficiently identified any representations or statements they relied on, a federal judge in California held April 19 in dismissing unfair competition law (UCL) claims (William Scott Phillips v. Apple Inc., No. 15-4879, N.D. Calif.).
