Attorney: Former Counsel’s Actions Not ‘Sanctionable’ In Fracking Royalty Dispute

Mealey's (June 18, 2015, 2:26 PM EDT) -- HARRISBURG, Pa. — Residents who sued a group of gas extraction companies in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania filed a brief June 18, 2014, arguing that the defendants should not be permitted to strike a pleading that was written by an attorney but was filed under the impression that it was written by the residents, who are proceeding pro se (Norma Fiorentino v. Cabot Oil & Gas Corporation, et al., No.09-2284, M.D. Pa.).
