Judge Dismisses County’s Public Policy Attempt To Amend The Walker River Decree

Mealey's (June 18, 2015, 1:11 PM EDT) -- RENO, Nev. — A Nevada federal judge on May 28 dismissed a county’s parens patriae lawsuit that sought to amend the Walker River decree to increase the flow of water into Walker Lake on the grounds of public policy (United States of America, et al. v. Walker River Irrigation District, et al., No. 73-128, D. Nev.; 2015 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 69160).
