Texas Commission Urges Supreme Court To Pass On Whooping Crane Appeal

Mealey's (June 18, 2015, 12:45 PM EDT) -- WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) on May 21 told the U.S. Supreme Court that it should not review a federal appeals court ruling that its issuance of water diversions violated the Endangered Species Act by lowering water levels and water quality in the winter habitat of the whooping crane (The Aransas Project v. Bryan Shaw, et al., No. 14-1138, U.S. Sup.).
