Fracking Company, Government Agency Say Drilling Project Properly Approved

(April 11, 2016, 7:47 AM EDT) -- SALT LAKE CITY — A hydraulic fracturing company on March 11 filed a brief in Utah federal court contending that a collection of environmental groups has not shown that the U.S. Bureau of Land Management (BLM) erred in its decision to approve a project in which the company developed oil and gas development projects in what is called the Uinta Basin (Southern Utah Wilderness Alliance, et al. v. United States Department of the Interior, et al. and Gasco Energy Inc., No. 13-01060, D. Utah).
