10th Circuit: Fired Attorney Must Abide By Grievance Process
(April 1, 2016, 1:44 PM EDT) -- DENVER — An attorney whose employment was controlled by a collective bargaining agreement (CBA) and is challenging her termination may not skirt the grievance procedure and skip right to a court proceeding, the 10th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals ruled March 29 (Mina Ortega v. New Mexico Legal Aid, Inc., et al., No. 15-2098, 10th Cir.; 2016 U.S. App. LEXIS 5957).
