Patent Owner Asks High Court To Consider Patent Eligibility Under Mayo
(March 31, 2016, 3:44 PM EDT) -- WASHINGTON, D.C. — The U.S. Supreme Court should consider whether an invented method of producing a new class of products is patent-eligible under U.S. Code Section 101 in light of Mayo Collaborative Servs. v. Prometheus Labs., Inc. (132 S. Ct. 1289, 1293 ), a patent owner says in a Feb. 18 petition (Hemopet v. Hill’s Pet Nutrition, Inc., No. 15-1062, U.S. Sup.).
