Florida Supreme Court Holds Symptoms Can Establish Membership In Engle Class

(March 28, 2016, 2:38 PM EDT) -- TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — A majority of the Florida Supreme Court on March 24 ruled that a plaintiff in an Engle progeny action has to prove to a jury only that he experienced symptoms of a tobacco-related disease by Nov. 21, 1996, to establish membership in the Engle class rather than showing that he knew that the symptoms were connected to a smoking-related disease (R.J.
