Nevada Federal Judge Dismisses Patent Infringement Claim Under Section 101
(March 28, 2016, 9:42 AM EDT) -- LAS VEGAS — Although allegations of unfair competition and deceptive trade practices may proceed, allegations of patent infringement were dismissed March 25 by a Nevada federal judge, who found that the asserted claims are directed to an abstract idea under 35 U.S. Code Section 101 (Global Cash Access Inc. v. NRT Technologies Corp., et al., No. 15-822, D. Nev.; 2016 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 39472).
