Group Wants State Engineer To Question Beneficial Use Of Rio Grande Water Permits
(March 23, 2016, 2:48 PM EDT) -- SANTA FE, N.M. — A New Mexico environmental group on March 21 filed a mandamus action to force the state engineer to determine if two water permits held by a federally operated conservation district are being put to beneficial use (WildEarth Guardians v. Tom Blaine, et al., No. D-101-CV-2016-00734, N.M. Dist., Santa Fe, N.M.).
