State Environmental Agency: Town Should Be Compelled To Respond To Discovery

Mealey's (June 17, 2015, 4:32 PM EDT) -- HARRISBURG, Pa. — The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) on Jan. 23 moved in a proceeding before the Pennsylvania Environmental Hearing Board (EHB) to compel South Fayette Township to comply with discovery requests related to its appeal of a permit that the DEP granted to a hydraulic fracturing company (South Fayette Township v. Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection, No. 2014-071-R, Pa. EHB).
