Groups Sue Environmental Protection Agency To Force Fracking Fluid Disclosure

Mealey's (June 17, 2015, 4:04 PM EDT) -- WASHINGTON, D.C. — A collection of environmental groups on Jan. 7 filed a lawsuit in District of Columbia federal court against the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, alleging violations of federal law that have allowed hydraulic fracturing companies to remain exempt from “one of the nation’s most basic toxic pollution reporting mechanisms: the Toxics Release Inventory (TRI)” (Environmental Integrity Project, et al. v. U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, No. 15-17, D. D.C.).
