California Appeals Court OKs Groundwater Extraction Fee, Overturns $4.6M Refund

Mealey's (June 17, 2015, 1:43 PM EDT) -- SAN JOSE, Calif. — A California appeals panel on March 26 upheld groundwater extraction fees charged by a county water district to a water company, overturning a trial court’s $4.62 million refund (Great Oaks Water Company v. Santa Clara Valley Water District, No. H035260, Calif. App., 6th Dist.).
