Suit, Appeal Over In-Person Dispensing Of Abortion Drug Dropped After FDA Reversal

Mealey's (May 28, 2021, 2:12 PM EDT) -- RICHMOND, Va. — Plaintiffs who challenged the Food and Drug Administration’s requirement that the abortion drug mifepristone be dispensed during in-person health care visits on May 11  voluntarily dismissed their lawsuit, and a federal circuit court on May 17 granted a joint motion  by all parties to dismiss a pending appeal as moot in light of the FDA’s decision to exercise discretion in enforcing the requirement during the pandemic....
