Ex-Sony Employees Seek Final Approval Of $8 Million Data Breach Suit Settlement
(February 24, 2016, 11:32 AM EST) -- LOS ANGELES — Three months after receiving preliminary approval of their settlement with Sony Pictures Entertainment over claims pertaining to a 2014 data breach that exposed their personally identifiable information (PII), a class comprising former Sony employees moved for final approval of the settlement on Feb. 17 in California federal court (Michael Corona, et al. v. Sony Pictures Entertainment Inc., No. 2:14-cv-09600, C.D. Calif.).
