Judge Says Federal Government Violated Agreement By Reducing Water Pumping

Mealey's (June 17, 2015, 1:10 PM EDT) -- FRESNO, Calif. — A California federal judge on March 2 found that the federal government violated a water supply agreement by restricting water pumping during a period of “excess water” in 2011 (San Luis & Delta-Mendota Water Authority, et al. v. United States Department of the Interior, No. 11-952, E.D. Calif.; 2015 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 24970).
