County’s Land, Water Use Law Sent Back To Regional Growth Management Board

Mealey's (June 17, 2015, 1:10 PM EDT) -- SEATTLE — A Washington state appeals panel on Feb. 23 sent a state board’s rejection of a county’s land and water management ordinance back to a hearing board (Whatcom County, et al. v. Western Washington Growth Management Hearing Board, No. 70796-5-I, Wash. App., Div. 1; 2015 Wash. App. LEXIS 354).

In 2012, Whatcom County adopted an ordinance amending the county Comprehensive Plan and Zoning Code. The ordinance amended certain Rural Element policies.
