7th Circuit Reverses, Remands $6M Verdict Against Former Makers Of Lead Paint

Mealey's (April 16, 2021, 1:38 PM EDT) -- CHICAGO — A panel of the Seventh Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals on April 15 reversed and remanded a $6 million lead-paint poisoning verdict against three former makers of lead-based paint.  The panel said Sherwin-Williams Co. is entitled to judgment as a matter of law, while E.I. du Pont de Nemours & Co. is entitled to a new trial and Armstrong Containers Inc. is entitled to judgment as a matter of law on one claim and a new trial on another....
