Company Asks High Court To Consider If Amazon Confuses Shoppers With Search Results
Mealey's (February 18, 2016, 12:39 PM EST) -- WASHINGTON, D.C. — In a trademark infringement lawsuit, a company in a Jan. 19 petition asks the U.S. Supreme Court to decide whether online shoppers are likely to be confused by the display results on Amazon.com Inc.’s site and whether the site can offer competing brands without disclosing the unavailability of the consumer's choice (Multi Time Machine, Inc. v. Amazon.com, Inc. and Amazon Services, LLC, No. 15-936, U.S. Sup.).
