Monsanto:  Glyphosate Cancer Plaintiff Cannot Show ‘Reliable Evidence’

Mealey's (March 10, 2021, 11:25 AM EST) -- SAN FRANCISCO — Monsanto Co. on March 9 filed its most recent answer to one of many ongoing lawsuits filed in California federal court by individuals who contend that they developed cancer as a result of exposure to the herbicide Roundup, which contains the active ingredient glyphosate.  In the answer at hand, Monsanto denies all liability and contends that the complaint fails to state a claim because the plaintiff “cannot proffer any scientifically reliable evidence” that Roundup was “defective or unreasonably dangerous.”...
