Government Seeks To Intervene In, Stay SEC’s Suit Against Shkreli

(February 12, 2016, 12:52 PM EST) -- BROOKLYN, N.Y. — Arguing that claims in both a criminal proceeding and a Securities and Exchange Commission lawsuit against former hedge fund manager and pharmaceutical company CEO Martin Shkreli and co-defendant Evan Greebel are identical, the U.S. government on Feb. 8 moved to intervene and stay proceedings in the SEC suit (Securities and Exchange Commission v. Martin Shkreli, et al., No. 15-7175, E.D. N.Y.).
