Water Rights Extensions Lacked Evidence Of Effect On Fish, Court Says

Mealey's (June 17, 2015, 12:23 PM EDT) -- SALEM, Ore. — An Oregon appeals panel on Dec. 31 reversed the state water department’s water permit extensions for three municipalities after agreeing with an environmental group that the department failed to justify its conclusions about the effects on fish species (WaterWatch of Oregon, Inc. v. Water Resources Department, et al., Nos. A148870, A148872 and A148874, Ore. App.; 2014 Ore. App. LEXIS 1855).
