Summary Judgment Granted Against San Diego’s Aquifer Damage Claim
Mealey's (February 9, 2016, 3:55 PM EST) -- SAN DIEGO — A California federal judge on Feb. 2 granted summary judgment on San Diego’s claim that an energy company’s leaking petroleum pipelines damaged an aquifer that could serve the city’s water needs or provide underground water storage (People of the State of California, et al. v. Kinder Morgan Energy Partners, L.P., et al., No. 07-1883, S.D. Calif.; 2016 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 15174).
