Cherokee Nation Wants To Enjoin Actos Settlement Under Subrogation Rights

Mealey's (June 17, 2015, 10:48 AM EDT) -- LAFAYETTE, La. — The Cherokee Nation on April 30 asked the Actos multidistrict litigation court to enjoin the $2.4 billion settlement until defendant Takeda Pharmaceuticals USA Inc. addresses its rights under the Federal Medical Care Recovery Act (FMCRA) and the rights of other Native American tribes (In Re: Actos Products Liability Litigation, MDL Docket 2299, No. 6:11-md-2299, W.D. La.).
