Mealey's (November 20, 2020, 1:10 PM EST) -- WASHINGTON, D.C. — Alaska’s congressional delegation filed an amicus curiae brief Nov. 18 in the U.S. Supreme Court in support of Alaska Native corporations (ANCs) in their battle to receive a $162.3 million share of COVID-19 emergency federal relief funding, saying the state’s indigenous people “will suffer severe negative consequences because of the continued withholding” of the funding over a misreading of the term “Indian tribes” (Steven T.
