2 Compounding Pharmacy Principals Plead Guilty To Adulterating Products

Mealey's (January 29, 2016, 1:20 PM EST) -- BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — Two principals of a now-defunct compounding pharmacy on Jan. 28 pleaded guilty to misdemeanor charges of selling adulterated drugs after contaminated total parenteral nutrition products led to bloodstream infections in hospital patients, nine of whom died (United States of America v. David Allen, et al., No. 1-cr-42, N.D. Ala., Southern Div.).
