Appeals Court Affirms Dismissal Of Suit Over Self-Determination Contract

Mealey's (June 17, 2015, 10:32 AM EDT) -- WASHINGTON, D.C. — A panel of the Federal Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals on May 8 affirmed the dismissal of the Yurok Tribe’s case against the U.S. Department of the Interior (DOI) over the alleged failure to award a self-determination contract for failure to state a claim upon which relief can be granted because no contract had been awarded (Yurok Tribe v. Department of the Interior, No. 14-1529, Fed. Cir.; 2015 U.S. App. LEXIS 7605).
